Grezig had gotten up from her slump on the ground and led Siege away from what felt like the scene of a crime. Something had broken there, something that could no longer be mended. Grezig did not belong in this pack anymore. But here Siege was, offering to spar with her. She wasn’t sure she had the energy anymore, nor the will, but she wasn’t sure what else to do. She stopped in some clearing and turned to face the male with a long-drawn inward breath, her eyes vague and distant. “I do not know how well I will do at this right now,” she admitted. “But if you still want to…” She shrugged one shoulder and got into a ready-stance, waiting for Siege to make the first move.

hahhaa < that's a link

Siege had been disgusted by the way Liri had so casually brushed off her Beta, and it took everything within him not to challenge her.  He thought that this place might be different from Devil's Chasm, he'd been led to believe that this was a family first and foremost.

He'd been fooled.  No family would treat each other like that.  The only thing it would fix is your feelings.  So what, if it allowed the pack to run better together?

But he couldn't think on that now.  Infuriated that this had to be his place and unsure of what the best action to take, he'd offered himself to spar her instead.

And she has the nerve to apologize for herself.  If it will help, he says, I will spar you.

Attack: 1/10 (Discord)
Grezig HP: 50
Siege HP: 49

Grezig nodded, trying to pull herself together enough for this. Since Siege didn’t just attack her immediately, she took it as an opportunity to attack first. She lunged for him, going for his scruff, something she did a lot in spars. But her game was off because her mind wasn’t in it. She barely grazed his fur, let alone got a good grip on him. Damn it! She knew this wasn’t life or death but she was disappointed in herself for failing so early in this spar.

this just in, 50 -1 = 50 ;p
SIEGE: 49/50
GREZIG: 47/50

Just as he had with Minori, Siege immediately prepared himself for an attack.  He wasn't one to underestimate an opponent, especially one that might be under emotional duress, so he was able to quickly move out of the way from the flurry of fangs that attempted to find him.  Swiftly he swung 'round, teeth clattering against the air as he barely raked across her flesh in turn.

Attack: 3/10
Grezig HP: 47/50
Siege HP: 46/50

Siege didn’t seem to be having the best time either. It would be funny if Grezig were in a better mood. As it were, this double-failure, even if one of them wasn’t her own fault, just pissed her off. She growled and twisted around to bite at Siege’s muzzle but she, once again, barely got a grip on it.

GREZIG: 43/50
SIEGE: 46/50

He cannot help the smirk that comes across his inky lips as he whiffs yet again.  His teeth aim to make their mark against the loose flesh of her neck and he misses, once again finding himself without a firm hold.  He stays up in her space, chin tucked low to his chest to protect himself (even if he doesn't believe she will hurt him, accidents are bound to happen) and he snorts, finding time to send off a quip her way — Off day, huh?

Attack: 5/10 (Discord)
Grezig HP: 43/50
Siege HP: 41/50

Grezig merely grunted at Siege’s quip, too focused on the (suck-y) spar to say anything back. His head was tucked into his chin which meant going for his throat was out. Growling, she lunged for a leg, hoping the move would at least throw him a bit off balance. Her teeth connected but she wasn’t sure how much damage it would actually do.

In the end, they both gave up. This spar wasn't very successful and it wasn't really making Grezig feel any better. Awkwardly, she left him standing there. She'd have to find her own way to feel better about all of this.
