Wow, confident bugger, wasn't he?  Not only so sure that Wildfire was going to bother to show up, but he also didn't seem to bat an eye at the thought that they might not want to cooperate.  Must be nice to be young and foolish, because there was a certain amount of pre-tantrum in those words.

Either way, he could see this blowing up pretty well if the kid didn't get his way, so Qui wasn't just gonna leave him here when he got whatever bad news.  He plopped himself down on his hindquarters with a 'you may eventually regret your decision but I'm not stopping you' sort of, Okaaay.  He'd keep an eye out for anyone else showing up, but he'd definitely find it hilarious if none of them bothered to show up.  That would be amazing.  If he could text, he'd tell Wildfire to wait just to irk this dude.
