Vasa had spent much of her time recently sweeping the whole of Tuktu for Phoebe but found nothing. She did report home a few things to Qui and @Raven, and much to her father's chagrin, she was determined to head out a little farther just in case. It had been uneventful so far at least, but she did have to listen through a whole rant about being careful of anyone from Blackfeather Woods blah blah blah. Whatever. She was only half listening because she'd heard a good chunk of it when she started off on the first jaunt.
Now, though, she had gone so far north that the world just seemed to end and fade into the blue. The plateau she'd crossed had been windswept and empty, but then it just stopped and so had she. Vasa hadn't seen the ocean before, and now that she had she wasn't sure what to think. The swells flickered in the sun under the dappled sky, and though she was still far away, it was massive and to a certain point frightening. The lake had seen unsurpassable when she was a child, but this wild force of nature made it look like just a drop.
