All Welcome
An abrupt curse of discontent broke the still silence of the dense woods, the repetitive snaps and pops of twigs and small branches closely following suit. Though lithe and agile in form, Shad was having quite the time attempting to navigate his way through this particular area. Brambles caught and tugged at his multi-colored pelt; some scratched at his long legs, others either pulled out his fur, or his fur pulled out the twigs until his spiked scruff was riddled with gnarled briars.

At first when the grim male had just entered the wood, the thick underbrush had been fairly tolerable. Now, however, his frustration seemed to intense with every step. Being rather new to the area, Shad was uncultured in the landmarks of this land and quite honestly had little to no clue as to where he was, or where he should go in order to escape the pesky briars.

If only he could find a deer run, or at least some sort of clear passage out of this forest.

the woman's path through the wood seems more difficult, somehow, then it had been months ago. she finds herself having to rely on brute strength to plow through some patches of the trail that had really been more suited for the pup she had been. thorns catch on her muzzle as she presses through a tough patch of underbrush, blood welling slowly in the shallow gashes left behind.

finding herself for a moment in the clear, tongue passes absently over the cuts as auds tilt and scan atop her skull. cracking branches and footfalls on snow are interesting enough to warrant inspection, and so the warlord veers off the familiar in search of the source. only a few moments of searching culminates with her setting eyes on a male, covered in enough briars and splintered underbrush to make it his current state fairly clear. "lost?" she drawls, gaze sliding once over him in appraisal.

[narrow]Just moments after leaping from the grasp of many thorns, a foreign voice sounded opposite of his direction. Shad turned to face the counter sharply, crimson gaze sweeping over the figure swiftly as he comprehended their words. However, the male remained silent for the moment as he took in the disposition of the new presence; that of earthen pallette, copper hued gaze, and seemingly a female about the age of a young adult. Ultimately, the spikey furred male felt no immediate threat, deciding to finally answer.

Hardly, these inferior brambles have merely blocked my passage. The dark male spoke. In truth, he was rather lost, but he also had no set destination and was too prideful to admit to it either way. Though, while Shad had noted the shallow scratches that covered the female's muzzle, she did seem minimally scathed despite the relentless briars. I take assumption that you are familiar with these parts? The grim male inquired. Perhaps - while he was reluctant to accept it - they could assist him from this neverending forest before he lost all his fur to the underbrush.
