All Welcome
it had been a few days in huojin was born, and she was more confined to the den then ever before. it was thankful she had a the sea as a view, and the distant stars from afar. but, the siren could not stare up, as the rock curled outward as a shade. when she was still carrying him, she could go out, but now, she didn't wish to move him yet.

so small and delicate, but she also wished to simply toss him into the ocean.

she couldn't deny being excited for the eventual lessons to come- of the stars and the ocean.

and ruo desired to move, but rarely did she, only to take a small break, or a quick feast if the Lion did not bring some in time.

time was passing slowly.

he'd been entirely unaware of the new life that had joined them in the recent days all up until a few moments ago. the scent of motherhood and new life had given away the truth, though it was less the fact that a female had given birth and more the fact that he had no idea who the lady was that caught him off guard. her scent was only vaguely familiar, though admittedly stronger near this strange looking rock than anywhere else on the island.

"hello?", he called out as he neared the boulder, a curious tilt to his head giving away his wonder. how long had she been here, and more importantly, how long had it been since she'd given birth? everyone had know of the empress' children, but this litter, it almost seemed as if it were a secret he'd just happened to stumble upon.

cameo!

blissfully unaware of his mother's temptations, huojin slept quietly at her breast. his senses were slowly developing; he could hear much better than before, and his eyes had opened several days prior. all things remained largely incomprehensible, but slowly, the starchild was becoming more alive.

an unfamiliar scent wafted into the den, unlike those which he knew. huojin slowly lifted his head from the ground to peer at the blurry shapes around him, until his eyes eventually settled on a dark splotch. he stared blankly, remaining silent, and cuddled closer to ruo's side.
