Otatso Wetlands I'm getting Hickeys from my Bedbugs

The ground, still a soupy marshy mess,. Was at least a bit more dry here. It was actually quite beautiful, the dense trees shading and providing an almost mystical atmosphere. She turned to make sure the Male was beside her, grateful that now there was no Swarm of biting flies to contend with. Although the dark and the mist was only considerably better. Still it was a welcome reprieve and she wouldn't make the mistake of returning to the hellscape east of them again. 
She settled for a moment on a patch of waterlogged grass, shaking the remaining mosquitoes from her pelt. 
"Well. Never making that mistake Again." She remarked, laughter in her voice. "I think I'm going to need about Twelve baths in the river before I get this stench out." She grimaced, looking at the filmy scum all over her legs and rump.
