the afternoon is overcast; a bit chilly ...but it there is always a certain chill in the air when living by the sea, ingram has quickly come to learn. and while he'd held reservations about the island at first ( landlubber that he is ) ...he has come to find the island was home. though, if ingram cared to examine it with any sort of depth he would realize it was not the territory.

he knew that it was trikova's presence that made it home to him.

his morning was spent failing at hunting the seagulls that flock to the shores ...but his failed hunting was not entirely without results. he collected a fair amount of feathers that he presently carried to the hidey-hole he'd stored his reading bones to add the feathers to the collection. if they would be useful or not, he wasn't so sure but at the very least they were aesthetically pleasing ( kind of ).

he was no speaker, no druid — that was not his role here ...but he felt something when looked at the bones and he wished to explore it. if the unnamed god did not want him to explore it then surely he would not recognize patterns in their formation. at least, this is what ingram assures himself with.

he tugs out the rabbit fur when he reaches his small cache and spits the feathers out rather unceremoniously onto the small pile.

magick, threadbone reading & 'godhood' is to be taken purely with a grain of salt and are written to be creations of ingram's imagination and religious faith.
