Greatwater Lake I've had enough, but you're too hard to quit

It had been a few days since Selena was essentially claimed by the woman of the lake. A nameless maternal figure that the spirits had led her to. It wasn't long before the women had made a sort of uneasy truce, which quickly grew into something of a friendship. Or perhaps they both just had use for one another. The woman found herself a fisherman and Selena found herself a protector. 

Selena paused her aimless stroll as a new scent was brought to her attention. It was fresh and smelled intimidating. Head on a swivel, the girl ceased her trot immediately to search for the newcomer but found nothing. Instead, she lowered her body to lay still under some overhanging brush next to the lake. She could be quite the convincing shadow.
