Meridian prowled the many pools at sunset. The light reflecting off the water made gem hunting difficult, but Meridian had already completed her sundown prayers, leaving her with little to do. Leaving the quartz she had found a couple days ago at the ravine, where it would be safe, she set out. She was having little luck, and in turn payed little attention to her surroundings. She didn't need to. Lake Bismuth was near to the oasis where @Tumbleweed, and his shadow touched friend @Widower resided, but Meridian felt very little threat from them. In her mind, they were simply ignorant clowns.
