All Welcome
In her mouth a bundle of wildflowers. Around her ink and paper shoukders a hare fir. She had csught it and chewed it and cleaned it. It would be lovely to gift to someone, but as of right now she was unsure.

She found where Gunnar rested and laid flowers upon his stone. A resigned sadness in her gaze. He had been good and it hurt to see him gone.

Bjorn had made his patrols once more, just as he had everyday. He started from the eastern border, and made his way to the western border. Today, he shook his route up a bit, added a change, because sometimes, change was good.

His route had taken him by the resting place Fadir Gunnar. He would’ve simply passed by quietly, his focus on his rounds, if there wasn’t a woman over his grave, placing wildflowers on top of the dirt. She did not seem like a stranger, nor had he heard of trespassers, so he gently chuffed, approaching her with a gentle woof, a swish of his pale.

“Fadir Gunnar was the heart of this pack.” He said quietly, “But while he may be away, off hunting in that golden field in the sky, he still lives on in our hearts, our souls.”

Inkeri heard the patter of feet. But before she could race away. A new wolf came forward.

Ears went to her skull and she shifted. Looked away. A small smile though at the mention of Fadir.

I know he was. Was. This one is Inkeri. Inkeri.

She spoke quietly, her name Inkeri. He had not seen her before, and he’d been a part of Kvarsheim for almost a year.

“It is a pleasure, Inkeri. I am Bjorn. Have you been a part of Kvarsheim before? I don’t believe I have ever seen you.”

This was true, but it gave him a chance to get to know her.

She blinked and felt her hesrt fall a little. She knew him. Had been here qhen Fadir had died. She had helped lay him in the ground. But what did she expect. Inkeri so quiet so scared.

Instead she smiled and nodded. Yes my daughter is Lemmikki, Lemikki.

She shifted. I left for a bit. Bit.

He thought of the daughter’s name, Lemmiki. It didn't ring a bell, “Ah. Well, are you finding yourself comfortable here? Back home?”

Bjorn was a quiet man, and it seemed Inkeri was rather quiet too. He decided to sit, so as not to tower of her, and he sat quietly there, for a moment, take a couple of breaths.

She sat down as well. Unsure but he didn't seem threatening.

It was good to hear that they were settling, but what really hooked him was the name Turmeric. “That is good.” He replied, “I know Turmeric, he is a good man. A friend.” What he didn’t mention that he hadn’t seen Turmeric in quite some time.

Inkeri's eyes lit up. Merry is very good man. Man. He is back too. Too.

She gave a soft nod. he still loves to travel. Travel. But he will come back. back.

She weaved her tail and patted the plants gently with her paw. Pushing them further into the ground near Fadir's grave. A soft hum.

How are you today? Today?

She looked at him with eyes of sea glass and waited. Patiently. Quietly. Kindly.

To hear that Merry was coming back was wonderful, bringing with it a bigger smile to the bear man’s face. “That’s very good news. I’ve missed him around here.”

In turn, she asked how he was. He had no complaints. “I am doing well. Thank you. Busy keeping watch on the borders and helping with the cache. With summer on its way, the fishing will be very good, and so will the other prey varieties.”

“Say, Inkeri, where do your talents lie? In herbs and plants like your husband?”

Inkeri smiled. He was missed. Missed. This is good. Good. I am not the only one that see's how wonderful he is then. Then.

Inkeri laughed delicately and shook her head. I am not good at herbs and plants. Plants. Unless they smell good and pretty colors. They we can talk about them all day. Day. No I like fishing. Fishing. And hunting.

Her laugh was gentle, soft. She did not believe she was good with the herbs, unless they smelt good and were colorful. This she enjoyed, but she said her skills lay in hunting and fishing. His smile grew at the mention of fishing.

“A huntress then. A fine trade. I too enjoy fishing, and it’s something I’ve practice since puphood.” Being the modest man he was, he left out the part about being taught by bears.

“The fishing is fine here. But it would be ideal if there was a river. I take salmon fishing to heart.”

There was no believing. Inkeri knew. Plants were not something she was remotely interested in beyond whether it smelled good and was pretty. She would leave that to Merry.

Inkeri's ears popped up. I enjoy salmon fishing. Fishing. When my sister and I came here. Here. We watched the rivers when they were spawning. SPawning.

She too remembered the bears, but sometimes you could find sections where they were not at. And it was always fun to watch how they did it.

“What an experiance.” He replied, amazed, “Perhaps, if you have extra time on your paws, we could scout out a river. Catch some salmon for the caches.” He had a playful, wishful look to his eyes,  despite his mature age. He was well past the first years of youth and adventure.

“Who is your sister? If you don’t mind my asking of course.” There were not many woman in this pack, besides the former alpha Taktuq and Tauris, a couple of young girls too.

Inkeri smiled and laughed. I have had many experiences. Experiences. We were running for our lives. Lives. So at the time. Time. It didn't seem so wondrous. Wondrous. But looking back. Back. We were blessed. Blessed. We lived. Lived.

She nodded her head. I would love too. Too.

A sad look fell upon her ink and paper face, sea green eyes swimming. Anja was never here. Here. She was only in the teekon for a time. Time and then she left. Left.
