Sumayl, as the third born of his litter, suffers from being the “little brother” and had decided early on that he wasn't going to be ignored, or forgotten about because he was one of the youngest. Likely, his personality now reflect his greatest fear as a child: being invisible and ultimately: unimportant. Being a bit of an attention seeker if only because he felt the pressing need to have to work unnecessarily hard for it as a young child he has no problem stealing or hogging the “spotlight”, and when he found that his rebellious behavior gave him the most attention he has never stopped being a “rebel”, so to speak. Given this, Sumayl has tendencies to insinuate that he's in charge. He worked to be the most dominant not only in his own litter, but his foster siblings as well, often giving the false impression that he was the eldest though Ciervo was. Sumayl is brash, crass, and though very honest spoken he is also highly confrontational. He isn't afraid of a fight (physical or otherwise) though he tries to win by a battle of wits. Sumayl doesn't hold his thoughts back and lacks a filter between his brain and mouth which often is the source of the trouble he finds himself in, especially with his superiors. Sumayl is narcissistic and confident, but logical and practical despite his initial arrogance. He is a problem solver, though initially he doesn't come off as such. His intelligence and ability to rationalize is often times surprising, if because he tends to give off a different vibe than someone who has more than just “street smarts”. He's been known to be quite the playboy, though his focuses currently are a lot more practical than women.

Beneath that extremely rough, tough, and prickly exterior Sumayl isn't nearly half as bad as he puts off. For those that can work themselves to what lies underneath will understand quickly that he's a good guy. He's extremely loyal, and protective and would put himself in harms way to keep wolves that he cares about safe (this includes pack mates). He's actually rather intuitive, and caring. He can be gentle, especially around children because deep down he likes kids a lot.
