Sidonie was the cherished firstborn daughter of the Alpha pair of Sleepy Summit. Ostarius and Mara had high hopes for their daughter, who was the first of her all-girl litter to toddle around the den, the first to open eyes and ears, and the first to howl a high-pitched and wavering little howl. But she was also the first to shove her hungry sisters out of the way, and the first to lift her little black nose arrogantly over her sisters' and cousins', and the first to imperiously demand her parents' attentions.

Reluctantly, Sidonie's parents supposed that she was the best choice of their offspring to raise up to be their heir, and so they did, assigning the most knowledgeable adults in the pack to be her tutors. They hoped that with a little time Sidonie might turn out to be less of a brat than her childhood self had become. When their efforts to groom the child into a proper young lady did not come to fruition, Ostarius and Mara were secretly quite pleased when an early breeding season found them expecting another litter sooner than they'd anticipated, and they hoped that this time would be the charm.

Sidonie fussed and fumed at the news. Her littermates were no competition for her dominance; Petra was a social butterfly without a worthwhile thought in her head, Leia was too much of a dreamer, and Ermina was so painfully shy and quiet. But younger siblings were an unknown enemy! How dare her parents bring more spawn into the world without even consulting her first?! Yet come her little siblings did, and when Katerina was born first, Sidonie breathed a sigh of relief. Another sister could easily be bent to her will.

But then there was Marius. At first, Sidonie tried to play off her anxiety, but as the boy grew older it became clear he was now the favored child. One day, after a particularly spectacular meltdown, Sidonie found herself sitting alone with her father as he broke the news: she was not and had never been worthy of being his heir, and her behavior was a disgrace to the pack.

Well, if that was how it was to be, Sidonie had no use for her father's favor, or for her squalling little brother Marius, or for Sleepy Summit altogether! The eight month old left in a huff, her nose held loftily in the air, and she stifled the tiniest sniffle as she went. If they didn't want her, then she didn't want them. She hoped she was imagining the muttered 'good riddance' that was spoken as she strode haughtily away.

After a brief foray into the Teekon Wilds, Sidonie continued traveling, often finding herself kicked out of a pack on her fluffy behind, but occasionally finding herself smoothly accepted into the pack as a dominant youth. Still, Sidonie recalled the sea as she saw it in the Teekon Wilds, and presently has chosen to return to it and live along the coast...
