Darkside was once a rescue dog known as Rusty, with a happy life. But once in a rescuing mission, his original trainer died. The new assigned one didn't know what to do with "Rusty", and often used the wrong methods. Not understanding that his original trainer was dead, as he had never scented or seen the body, Rusty grew to hate his new trainer. One day, The anger and hatred snapped and Rusty attacked his new trainer. After leaving his new trainer a bloody mess, Rusty escaped the rescue department and changed his name to darkside, due to him naming the night the darkside, as it eats away the sun, like his pelt. Only one year old, the young dog wandered around, training himself up for combat and speed. Only half a year later, he was caught and taken into the experiment lab, as he was looking through their garbage and a tranquilliser dart got him in the rump. Darkside then spend a couple of months in the lab, being tests for many products, which made him grow a hatred for all humans and all canines who didn't have to go through the same hell as he did. When he was loaded into the van, and it crashed, he wasted no time escaping the hell hole the humans made for him.
