The eldest in the litter of two, his brother Raezho born a few minutes after him. They were the sons of Drakhavo, a fearsome and formidable leader, feared by many, having plundered, raided and pillaged many packs during his rule as Khal in their pack. His home was Rhaesh Dahaan, a vast territory made up of mainly plains, where the Khalas, nomadic packs of wolves, wandered.

Azzaro and his brother Raezho were raised to be fierce warriors, formidable and deadly opponents, savage and feral. The blood of their opponents staining their teeth and claws red by the time they reached adulthood. Azzaro was evidently born for the life of the Dotharan, tall, muscular, built for racing across the plains and combat. An exceptional warrior in battle, a formidable opponent, a veteran of fighting, proven by the numerous scars of teeth and claw scattered on his pelt.

But disaster struck when their father, Drakhavo was struck with a strange sickness, the healers of the pack tried their best to heal him but soon he became too sick to hunt Bison and lead the Khalas on raids. It wasn't long before the sick Khal died, and their Khalas died. The commanders/Ko of the pack broke off and formed their own Khalas, leaving the two brothers with a small amount of followers. Raezho and Azzaro decided to leave their fatherland in search for a new home and a new Khalas.

Shortly after their arrival in Teekon Wilds, they encountered another Dotharan wolf by the name of Rakharo. After short consideration, the two brothers decided to join Khal Rakharo's Khalas. They traveled for a long time and soon Azzaro grew restless, wondering if he had made the wrong decision and should have continued alone with his brother instead of joining up with the Khal. But soon they were struck with good luck and the Khalas came across the golden plains with a herd of Bison; the promised land.
