Skagos knows his place in the world, recognizes, upholds and is an example of the law beheld by the Amazon women for their slaves and Gladiators. Unlike Five (whom also happens to be Skagos' partner in crime) and most of the slaves and Gladiators, Skagos was born into indentured servitude and has never lived anything else. The young Doctore is the colder of the two, more unforgiving in his punishments, pressing the slaves and fellow Gladiators to their breaking points, until Five intervenes. Skagos can be cruel by nature, a trait he inherently shares with his mother (though there are a lot of personality traits he unknowingly shares with her). Skagos (likely due to his father-son akin relationship to Five) isn't as cruel as his genetic potential proves he can be, tempered by the other Gladiator's jovial and paternal nature. When he isn't busy being jealous of his nephew — whom Skagos fully believes should be thrown with the Gladiators, with servitude as his only birthright — or enforcing the Amazon's law upon those who dared to be disobedient the young Doctore enjoys a good challenge, and reaping the benefits of his victories. He has a witty sense of humor and enjoys teasing as a past time (particularly if it's Five at the brunt of his jokes). He is obedient to all women, as a rule of thumb — not just the Amazons. In Skagos' world, in the way they shaped him to think he is inferior to every woman; good only to enforce her law, to fight for her entertainment, and to give her strong daughters. To take what is given to him but to never take more (though the desire is always there). Skagos is devious, armed with a sharp intelligence; and an abrasive nature that turns him into a demon in battle, bestial as he fights to kill, exactly how he's been trained; making him an excellent Gladiator. He's often compared to his legendary father Six, though Cihuacoatl had killed him when Skagos was but a fetus in her womb. He knows no other life; but Skagos is inherently and dangerously curious as a sentient being about what kind of lives free men live.


While most of Skagos' personality will not change as he discovers life outside of the Amazon women's rule — learning what it means to be a free man, he'll be embracing the traits that unknowingly make him more like his mother. Though his teachings will never fully depart him, burned into his mind like a brand to the skin, he will begin to embrace life outside of Coatl's Rise and eventually resort to calling himself his Amazon name: Namacuix. *This is a work in progress!
