At one point, being a Ferritti meant something. It was a name of power and plenty, but in the present day, the Ferretti family has since fallen from grace. However, despite having fallen on hard times, the family bond between the Ferretti's has remained strong.

The original patriarch of the Ferretti's, Sal (who is now long deceased), established their pack's claim over the Saltlick Basin -- hundreds of miles south of the Teekon wilds. He declared himself Don over the territory, and along with his mate Paolina, planted the seed that would eventually become the sprawling Ferretti family. That seed was Primo Ferretti.

Primo was the only surviving child, and eventually, he succeeded his father as Don of the Basin at the young age of one after Sal's untimely death at the hands of another local pack, the Esposito family, whom had quarreled with the Ferretti's over hunting rights around the basin. Unlike his father before him, Primo was much more successful in establishing the Ferretti name and reputation in the area (thanks to his ruthless and unfettered mindset). He took one of his subordinates as his mate and fathered three children, Giancalo (the first born), Cyril (the shit-head), and Cecilia (daddy's little angel). After orchestrating the demise of the Esposito's patriarch, Primo and the Ferretti's had full hunting rights around the basin and the preasence of the Esposito family all but vanished.

For years later, there was quiet in the basin. Primo and Luisa enjoyed their rule for many years after in peace. Their children grew and each had lives of their own, but they all remained within the pack -- unwilling to leave their family behind. However, after a harsh winter, Luisa died from complications from pneumonia -- Primo stepped down from his role as don and into a life of early retirement soon after because he was consumed by grief.

Giancarlo, while his mate Gianna was heavy with child, stepped up to fill the void his father left, much to his brother Cyril's chagrin. Over time, especially after his children were born, Giancarlo proved himself to be an inconstant leader unlike his father had been. The pack suffered for it. Not only was he unable to keep his subordinates under control, but he could not keep his family together either. For a time, his sister Cecilia left the pack to shack up with a temporary lover. She eventually came back to the basin, pregnant with an unknown man's litter. Unable to turn his sister away, Giancarlo accepted her back into the fold.

When she gave birth, the only survivor was a boy whom she named Remmy.

A year passed and Remmy grew up along side his cousins: Romilda, Stefano, and Carlotta.

While the pack began to mend the cracks that had settled in, another threat loomed from beyond the border. The Esposito family, now led by their formar patriarch's grandson (who's heart was dead set on revenge) returned to the area with more numbers than they had before. With only two options, fight or run, Giancarlo made the decision to lead his family away from the basin to protect them. Now they travel north in the direction of the Teekon Wilds.
