Teemu was born into a good sized pack. They were regimented and well controlled in order to thrive with two rival packs to fend off. He held a mid-ranking position and was content with that, as power was never an ultimate goal for the male. His life was full of discipline, family, and strategic battles to ward off the varying threats that attacked their borders. His parents were not actually the alpha pair of the pack. His father was the alpha male's brother and second in command; his mother, a strong fighter, whom the alpha female injured severely before chasing from the pack. The alpha male allowed Teemu to live only because they shared bloodlines, but his mate never wanted the illegitimate puppy to remain in the pack, causing far more arguments between the alpha pair than Teemu had been aware of.

He remained in that pack for four years. It wasn't until the alpha female had allowed her anger and jealousy to corrupt her that Teemu's life fell apart. She conspired with one of the alpha males of a rival group, leading to the murder of Teemu's father and uncle, along with many of the other high ranking members of his birth pack. The entire group disintegrated within hours that night. Many had taken the side of their female leader and therefore joined their rivals, while the rest were either killed or fled for their lives. Teemu was lucky to escape.

After the betrayal, Teemu traveled many miles from his home, in search of safety and a new life. He stumbled upon a pair of first time parents and offered his help with hunting and scouting duties. It was with this small family that he found a new home. Although he was with them for the next three years, Teemu will not divulge the reasons behind him once again becoming a lone wolf at the age of seven.
