Appearance

health points (35/50)

A feral creature; he has long twig-like limbs sticking out of a nearly skeletal torso. Combining this with the sharp angles of his long face, batty ears, and clear hybridization leads to the assumption that he's either very old or very sick, neither of which are true. His grey fur hangs in clumps off of his narrow body and there's a wild, hungry look to his blue eyes — but upon closer inspection he's young, wiry, and potentially a runt.

His wolf blood isn't very strong, but it presents as a ridge of thick fur from the back of his head down to his hips, and it grows shaggier in the cold months as he grows in a patchwork seasonal coat; this looks like a mohawk at the best of times, and makes his tall ears look all the more bizarre.

EXTRAS:

>>> speaks ZANDALI primarily; can speak Common (has a thick accent resembling Caribbean English).

>>> doesn't know that he's only a half-blood coyote.

>>> can't swim.
Personality

A fickle creature whose loyalties are never fully understood; depending on the race of those around him he can be honorable and charming, or vitriolic and feral with his aggression. Some might consider him xenophobic around individuals that display a more wolf-like phenotype or pack behavior. He is loyal to his tribe; however, because Ve'kesh has since been excommunicated he utilizes transference, and as a result shunts his envy, rage, and hurt on to anyone he sees with a strong emotional, familial, or pack connection. In clinical terms he is a wound collector — any slight is enough to bring out his rage at this point. He is a traditionalist and is more likely to try and curse the offending individual with his shamanism instead of outright attack them, but you can't be too careful.

Biography

Traditionally the people of Azozde are not given names upon birth. Children must earn their name, and like many things it comes in stages. This particular child earned their name once they'd reached six months of age — the name of Vek. Names lack any cohesive meaning, mostly being comprised of sounds that are particularly satisfying to say; however, in the case of the Azozde Tribe, multi-syllabic names are a rarity and they denote traits, skills, and any such things that warrant esteem. In the case of Vek, it was reaching his first year of life and beginning his tutelage under a famous shaman. In doing this, he earned another syllable to his name — kesh, which transformed him from a child to a young man. Under the guidance of this tutor he learned of healing methods, magics, spirits, and their role in the universe. Once he felt comfortable with his knowledge he did what any good student of the arcane should do — he killed his teacher, and was subsequently banished from the Tribe. Although putting Ve'kesh to death might be the most obvious option for this crime, the lawlessness of his people prevent such a thing, for it was quite common for the children to surpass their mentors and use their skills to slay (and potentially cannibalize) their elders.
