Taima has been running for as long as she can remember; she has always been one of the keenest of the herd when it comes to physical expression, and it has served her well. By her first year she had already proven herself as one of the most enduring of the season's foals, and by the time she hit adulthood she was drawing the attention of stallions for her forceful nature and evident fearlessness. In the days that followed her bravado was enjoyed less and less, as her antics would draw attention to the herd and with that attention, danger or death. When Taima was eventually driven away from the herd it was not as cataclysmic as one might imagine: she welcomed the change, eager to test herself against the world beyond what she had grown up with.
