Edris was born to the last pair of royal great knights, the same day as Akhtar. The two were meant to be paired as King and Knight Commander, before the pack was conquered and both boys’ parents were killed in the conquest.

Much like Akhtar, Edris was forced to convert to the religion of the conquerors, and was pushed into priesthood with his to be charge, but Edris never forgot. When the conquerors found out that the people had turned their hope to the last blood link of the former empire, Edris tried to get Akhtar away, but the former prince was almost killed in an assassination attempt and barely managed to crawl away. Left with nothing, Edris drifted, until the pack collapsed in on itself due to spats between the new upper class. A rumor of their prince spurred the knight into finding and collecting Akhtar, and spawning a new kingdom with him at the head.
