Profile of Shriek: Details
Appearance
Shriek appears as your typical barn owl - 18 inches in height with an almost 4-foot wingspan. Various tan and gray shades mottle her head and back, while her belly is a crisp white with sparse black spotting. What sets her apart is her pair of luminous, bright blue eyes that speak to her intellect and intense powers of observation.
Personality
Shriek is a very intelligent and inquisitive bird, capable of learning new skills quickly and adapting well to most conditions. Typically, she's relatively calm, though can get quite angry when surprised or startled.

Due to her keen senses and great skill in observation, she makes a great scout, and, if befriended and the time is taken to learn to communicate with her, advisor.
Biography
Shriek was always a little... different. Sure, owls are known for being keen, intelligent birds, but Shriek seems exceptionally so. Even as a chick, she enjoyed exploring and learning about the world around her. She's particularly curious about wolves and will happily wander away from her preferred hunting grounds to observe their behaviors.

As she cannot make the same vocalization as wolves, any wolf she encounters initially will be unable to communicate with her outside of gestures (she CAN communicate reasonably with other birds). However, if she develops a relationship with another species, over time they may learn each other's way of speaking and be able to manage rudimentary verbal conversation.
