Skipjack favors his father and older brother, as well as his namesake tuna fish. His fur is the color of a stormy sea, blueish gray fading into stark white on his underside. His shoulders are dappled as though by sunlight: the only physical feature he borrowed from his mother. His rufescent tail stands out in stark contrast, as do his pale sea glass eyes. His long eyelashes and lithe build give him a slightly effeminate air.
