Profile of Kuwanyauma: Details
Appearance
In color, she takes after her father, Mongwau “Wiseheart”, with smoky black fur and golden-brown eyes. In physique, she takes after her mother, Chumani “Moonspirit”, with a lighter, smaller build than most of her tribe — though she is still quite large.
Personality
Kuwanyauma is a free spirit, though she can be quite stubbornly loyal when she wants to be. She is unsure who she wants to be later on in life, as she has many skills and cannot decide which she likes better. She has the makings of a great Warrior, Warden, Outrider, Naturalist, and perhaps Healer. She has an affinity to the Earth and all its splendors and will become very angry with anyone who does not show the proper respect to it or its creatures.

She does not mind those who are proud of their accomplishments, but she dislikes those who are arrogant or vain. She shows respects to those older than her when they deserve it, and wants to take all those younger than her under her wing. She refers to all elders as “Mother” or “Father”, those who are around the same age as “Sister” or “Brother”, and all those younger than her as “Little Sister” or “Little Brother”. This may get some confusing looks, and perhaps get her in trouble.

She loves to sit in nature and often sleeps outside instead of in a den. She loves all seasons, but Spring the best, as that is the time of new growth and new green. Sometimes she will forget her responsibilities and instead wander for days on end, content to explore every nook an cranny, though she shows a healthy respect for pack boundaries and is not one to stray where she is not wanted.
Biography
Kuwanyauma grew up in a pack of tribal, family-oriented wolves. Honoring one’s elders was important, as well as earning a place among one’s people. She learned, from a very young age, about the earth and its spirits. She learned to appreciate nature and all of its wonders, and to respect the balance of the world. She learned that all things are living — even rocks — and that even the smallest prey animal is to be shown respect.

Her father, Mongwau, was very close to her heart, and still is, though she is no longer with her tribe. He waited until she was a year old and then sat down with her and told her this: That when a boy or girl of the tribe turns one year old, then it is time for them to leave to go and find themselves. That when they come back to the tribe later, they will be no longer be a child, but an adult, and they will have a naming ceremony to make them officially of the tribe. Afterwards, he made a leaving ceremony for her and then sent her on her way.
