He was born among the sea-worshiping women and his potential was evident from the very beginning. The boy rose to every challenge, and was molded in to a near perfect follower. Once he reached sexual maturity he was blessed with the rank of Consort, and thereafter Atlas was given a precious task: to protect Akantha and Acorn on their journey abroad. It is his greatest pleasure to serve and protect.

During a period of exploration following the claim of Ankyra Sound, Atlas accompanied the priestess Caiaphas on to a nearby wedge of land; during the return trip he was overwhelmed by the sea and swept away. It is presumed that he is missing, but alive somewhere.

Although he survived, he grew bitter. His faith was badly shaken, and he survived by avoiding the sea thereafter - which substantiated his doubts and strengthened his resolve against them.
