On returning from the trip to Dragoncrest Cliffs, Nieve made the decision that she wanted to get away for a little while. She still wasn't feeling great about things at home and she'd been bitten by a bug to get out and explore the world. Maybe she would even make a friend or two and then she could share the experience with her mamá, who'd encouraged her to look for friendship outside the pack. She spent a day preparing, then picked a direction to go.
Before leaving, she informed @Rosalyn, @Erzulie and @Aningan that she was heading off on a week-long scouting trip. After assuring them that she would be careful and would absolutely be home at the end of the week, she turned to the mountains and away she went. It was a hard and perilous climb for a wolf of the sea with little mountain experience, but she made it through a narrow pass and down the other side in a little over a day without hurting herself. It was a small victory, but a significant one to Nieve.
What she found on the other side was incredible. A little forest tucked into the mountainside, secluded and cozy, grown thick with willow trees that glistened white with hoarfrost. It still had nothing on the sea, but it was one of the prettiest places Nieve had ever seen besides the coast itself, and she spent a good amount of time simply wandering among the trees and appreciating the views.
