Dragoncrest Cliffs Choose drugs AND hugs.

Pepper returning, his head was quick to lift at the scent of his meal, his tail waving at the sight of his mate. He accepted the fish as it was pushed to him.

Biting into it as Pepper put up a request of his own, he would be met with Phobos' eyes staring up at him. Often asking such things of him would be met with teasing, though he would comply - now he only nodded.

Admittedly, he felt the same way.

Huh, that was easy. 

He didn’t notice the absence of the satchel, his mind far too busy with other thoughts. His only goal now was getting this food down as fast as possible. 

Fish aged quickly, and even fish caught just this morning weren’t as fresh as he’d like, but they were edible, and not all that bad past the strong smell. 

”You able to find herbs this late into the season?” he asked after taking down a mouthful. He knew the wolf had been out looking, even heard he’d been doing so with one of the pack’s young.

He nodded to Pepper's question, swallowing his bite. Some. They aren't as fresh anymore. He frowned for a moment. It was a shame that the winter would leave him so limited.

Usually such a conversation would turn to his worries, his concerns for Pepper's health, but his mind was far too busy, particularly with the events that would follow. Enough for the winter.

"I'm sure they're fine," he assured his mate. Not that he had any clue if they were, but he couldn't imagine herbs rotted like meat did. 

"Are ya liking it here?" 

He felt responsible for pulling Phobos into Sapphique, and he maybe hadn't checked in with the wolf as much as he should've.

Pepper's question was answered with a slight nod. He had nothing to complain about. I came here for you, and that's what I have. He responded. Phobos was yet to make any other friends, but of course he had never been all too social.

It was better than the Montagne wolves, that was for sure.

The old wolf’s tail waved. The comment felt warm, and he fought the urge to lean forward and give the smaller wolf a long, loving kiss. After dinner. 

”I just want ya to be comfortable.” he justified. But if the wolf had no problem keeping to himself, he wouldn’t push him to meet others. Pepper couldn’t understand it, of course, but he wouldn’t judge. 

”Probably gonna be quite a few pups running around here in the spring. You ready for that?”

Not like I'm giving birth to them.. as far as I know. He paused momentarily, giving a look of suspicion to Pepper. Luckily for Phobos, such things are not possible for him.

Pups are easy though. He yawns, laying his head down. Wake me up uh.. soon. We'll have our fun then. Eyes closed, he's out not long after. It was probably for the best that he sleep it off.
