Set for 7/13/19.
River's eyelids parted unexpectedly, and light inflamed her sensitive eyes. Although blurry, the world around her was captivating, and she explored her new sights despite her discomfort. Whatever River had been preoccupied with moments prior was already forgotten. Her eyes moved at a turtle-like pace, crawling over every blurred line in her perspective, as she studied her new reality.
River laid at Ketzia's side, facing towards the foyer of the whelping den. It was dark and dreary outside, and the light that shone into the cave was just a drab. River didn't see it as bleak, as an older and more experienced individual might have, she was fascinated.
The excitement of her discovery eventually got the best of the child, and River's enthusiasm began to wane. She did her best to fight her fatigue, and fend off the imposing siesta, but River wasn't strong enough to ward off sleep just yet. With a heavy sigh and a half-assed kick, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
River's investigation would resume as soon as she woke up again.
