When she woke, it was in unfamiliar lands. Mikasa remembered rushing blindly into a forest in an attempt to carve as much space as physically possible between herself and the past; and judging by the fact she was still alive, she was far enough.. for now. Although her legs were wobbly as she stood, Mikasa felt a sense of relief wash over her. Peace. Safety. She would need to find a pack in order to ensure said safety, yes, but for now she was out of harm's way. Hopefully.
It didn't take long for the thin wolf to plunge into the shadows, eager to explore this newfound territory and learn its many secrets. Mikasa didn't know how far the forest stretched, but she was going to find out - and hopefully find herself a snack along the way.

Wherever the elk and other ungulates lurked Andr was never too far behind, and today his appetite was large. Not for food mind you, but for knowledge. He hadn't yet ventured to this part of the Wilds or interacted with the herds in these parts. Something he hoped to change today.
As he lowered his head and tracked the scent it was clear of the prey had made this forest their home. But there was something else. Something that stood out against the hooves and fur. Feminine and canine. Another wolf.
Curiosity led him along her path. The thought of interacting with someone new sparked in his mind having only interacted with Iaghe in recent months.
Then he caught sight of her. The young silver fox with a dark coat clinging to the shadows. Wishing not to startle her he made himself know "Good day Ma'am" he said a handful of strides away.

Mikasa willed her stomach to remain quiet as she slipped through the shadows, continuously scenting the air for any source of food. She was a bit too weak for anything that would fill her up for long, unfortunately, but that didn't stop her from daydreaming about the deer she scented on the wind. Although she wasn't much of a scavenger, she wondered how desperate she would need to be in order to partake of some leftovers. Typically the idea made her stomach churn, but today she felt the pull of hunger beginning to steer her in that direction. The little wolf sucked in a breath and shook her head, determined to avoid that outcome for now. If worse came to worst, however..
A voice pulled her from the depths of her thoughts, cavernous and empty as they were. Outside of being starved, Mikasa couldn't pinpoint the last real thought she'd had. Survival had been her only goal up until that point, but now she was faced with a different kind of survival: social survival. She blinked in muted surprise as she turned to face the man, wiping the look of desperation from her expression. No one needed to see a pitiful, hungry cryptid lurking about the woods. Mikasa was better than that.
"Hello, umm.. sir," she replied, hesitating briefly with the formality because why so serious? And was she really old enough to be considered a ma'am? Mikasa flicked her tail as she crossed over herself to face him head-on, smiling softly. "Do you happen to know where we are?"A voice pulled her from the depths of her thoughts, cavernous and empty as they were. "Not precisely I'm afraid." he admitted having never visited the forest before. But he could think of where they were in relation to the grander scheme of things. "I suspect we are in the..." he paused to look up at the sun's position. "South Western edges of the Teekon Wilds" he answered happy to help as always.
"Is there somewhere you wish to go?" he asked. Usually, when someone leads with a question asking about where they are it usually means they weren't where they wanted to be.
