Wapun Meadow it doesn't get aggressive

mira had fed her litter in the morning, then asked @ksura to watch them for a bit so she might stretch her legs. she had been cooped up at home for a couple weeks now, and got the occasional chance for a small stroll, but today she wanted to spend some time beyond the mountain. she found herself in the meadow after moving through a forest, where fragrances of various wildflowers blanketed the hills. she would never live in a place like this, she thought. so low to the ground. 

a small pond caught her attention, where she paused and settled to take a sip of the fresh water, a refreshing break after her trek out here.

Elphie had parted from @Equinox temporarily; they'd decided to take their time in evaluating Moonglow, each of them somewhat taken with the idea of establishing their own claim. It was the way of wolves to pair off and start anew.

Yet she had doubts. She found her thoughts straying to Mira, the woman who intended to build an empire all herself. That kind of confidence, Elphie decided, was what they needed. So she sought her out on her own, unsure if she was looking for advice or something more.

She found her easily enough, carrying the scents of milk and children. Already working on that empire, huh? Elphie called out, smirking a little. It was kind of impressive; not that she'd ever admit it.

mira lifted her snout from the water when a voice split the air, and as she turned she recognized elphaba, the young woman she'd met a couple weeks prior. 

the comment amused her; whether a joke or a serious observation, it was the truth, and she allowed herself to smile at it. indeed, mira responded with a swipe of her tongue across her chin, cleaning up stray droplets. four of them, and once they're old enough they will help me. she declared without a twinge of doubt- in her mind, it was not merely a hope.

how did it go, checking out the packs you spoke of before? she decided to ask, trying to pull what information she could from her acquaintance. anything could potentially be useful someday, and mira wanted to be as knowledgeable about the various groups as she could, especially once she was back to her full range of mobility.
