Pauk began to explore more now that his eyes had opened—there was just so much to see, taste, and sniff! How could he not indulge in the new discoveries? Especially when they were all so interesting to study!

Presently, a stink bug held his attention. He lay on the floor of the communal den, watching the bug with a cross-eyed stare as it waddled towards the den's entrance. The bug did something to rouse his excitement, and he shot up suddenly into a sphinx-like position, drummed his paws against the ground, and growled with intrigue.

acrux had been just outside the ulaq when the sound of shuffling turned his attention inside. he poked a head through the entrance, eyes following the line of his younger brother's focus to the stink bug that teased the boy. 

he did not move to assist pauk, interested to see if the boy was capable of hunting the bug all on his own. and so acrux adjusted himself to a comfortable position instead and offered his brother cheerful looks of encouragement.
