Phoenix Maplewood Focus on the Rabbit

So far, there was no movement. Esaro was surely focused, there was no way he could miss the rabbit at this point. It's there and he knows it. However, the catch would be impossible if he just charged in. Waiting for the rabbit to make it's move seem to be the best choice right now. As preparation he was ready to sprint at any moment. After a large number of seconds time just left like it stopped, there was just no movement.

He suddenly began hearing a whispering voice. It sounded soothing as if there was a spirit talking to him. Esaro didn't dare look around, he continued to focus all his attention on the bush. Looking away for one second could cost the whole hunt. The Spirit called herself Laika and offered some assistance. He showed a confused looking clearly saying 'what?'. A spirit can't really help can it?

It didn't take long for him to give in to the temptation to look away to see where the voice was coming from. He finally turned with his confused look and just realized that there was another wolf near him. How long has she been there? He had never notice her presence until now. "Oh. sorry, I thought you were a spirit." He asked in a quite loud tone. Speaking out loud made the rabbit sprint out suddenly.

Esaro noticed and reacted to the movement and took off sprinting after it. "There it goes! I'll get it this time!" The rabbit ran into another hiding spot not far from where they were. That hole was part of a fallen old tree trunk. He nose dived into that hole but it wasn't large enough to get his head through. The rabbit was barely in reach, he just needed to push farther in. As he tried the trunk was cracking and he felt like he was getting closer to the trapped rabbit.
