The cranky old douche bag awoke fairly early in the morning as always. It were his old bones on the hard ground that did this and the lack of a den. He was sure that, if they really settled somewhere in the future and there was a soft den stuffed with leaves or something, he'd sleep fine. For now though, he was as moody as ever. 

One eye opened at words from his son, and he snorted softly both because of the sand that had made it's way into his nostrils and displeasure. He lifted his chest up, followed by his belly and ended up in a sitting position. He clicked his tongue and yawned, stretching as he cracked his bones in the right place. He sat back down, blinking a few times before letting his gaze go up the mountain. God, he hated that thing.

Perhaps today he would look for water to go fishing, get some meat for his poor ol' body, because no one else here would go do anything for him. He got up and started walking in a random direction, if not stopped.
