Laika attempted to cheer Ipa up, and it did work. Good vibes always managed to rub off on the small golden female, and she always tried her best to spread them. The nudge was appreciated, encouraging the yearling to continue on. She watched Laika wade out farther. Phiipa couldn't see what she was attacking from where she sat, but she assumed it to be a fish. She watched hopefully, observing the pretty white wolf's stance as she leaped, fully expecting the fish to be there when she emerged.

It wasn't, and Phiipa hid her disappointment well. She too was very hungry, it would've been nice to find some prey. Anything at all to fill her aching stomach. Good try! I had thought you would surely have it. She said with a friendly smile, her belly rumbling underneath.
