Oh. Well, she was certainly an odd little thing. Nab quirked an ear, unsure if she'd heard the girl correctly. "Do I like pain?" she verified, peering down at the yearling wolf. After a moment, she was certain she'd heard her right. What would make a youngster ask that sort of question. "No, and I don't suppose that very many of us do," she said to the shewolf, listening carefully to be sure that no other wolves were sneaking up behind her. They appeared to be alone, though. Good - Jenabbi wasn't too worried about fending off one young wolf, but she'd rather not meet the rest of their pack in a hungry mood.

But it might be time to take her leave soon, all the same. Something about this kid was clearly a little off. "Why do you ask? Do you like pain?" the older woman asked, unable to leave without seeing if this poor child needed help. Meateater or not, a child was a child! And if someone was hurting a child, the job always seemed to fall to Jenabbi to hurt them back.
