The grip on her scruff is not released until he gives a slight shake of his head, forcing her to the ground while he uses the chance to prop himself back up. When he’s certain she’s beneath him and in no place to move for another attack, he lets go and shuffles back out of reach. Tired, his chest heaves for air and his tongue lolls out of the side of his mouth to see if the girl has finally given up the title of winner.
