Cassiopeia's View and the future seems so bleak

What sort of mistake? Vaati had not asked himself that, and truthfully, had not wanted to. It was the sort of mistake built on arrogance, stupidity and that idiotic childish urge to make himself worth something -- to prove something to someone, regardless of what it was. Killing Rannoch had seemed like the best thing he could do at the time, the thing that would earn him the most credibility. That was what it had been all about right? The dark brotherhood, his family, they had all been killers and had all got away with it... why couldn't he? At least, that had been the notion when he had gone and done it.

He shakes his head rather dismissively as if shaking away a bad memory, before moving to turn away from the stranger. "A childish one." Vaati replies, before simply picking up and going on his way, perhaps being the most honest with another being than he has ever been before. Perhaps he can admit his mistake in attempting to do something he should have known he could never pull off. Other than that, his conscious is clear. Next time, he will not let his youth cloud his judgement when making decisions such as the one he made with Rannoch.
