Yes, it changes every post you've ever made in addition to future posts. It will also update if you change that field. Think of it like any of your existing profile fields, but it happens to show up in posts!
There are no plans to make speech text automatic colors, as that would require a lot more funky programming stuff.
@Sequoia: No prob on the text! What about pack records that are formatted a certain way? Is it possible to override the fields or cut it off for a specific forum?
@Mallaidh That isn't in the works right now, no. Might be something I could add in the future, but I'm not sure how complicated it will be.
