Neverwinter Forest what is a desire to live, if not a desire for failure

Always aware of his surroundings, Siege was given pause when he heard the telltale whuff, whuff of breath as someone rooted around for something nearby.  It was difficult to see her in the darkness there but his bloodied gaze found her beside the sturdy bones of a tree.  Much like his company, he was neither inviting nor uninviting; he was simply there.  As such he did not seek to make her acquaintence, but he did watch her with interest.  Perhaps she'd find whatever it was she was looking for, or better yet, she'd reveal it to him in her search for knowledge.
