In truth, it still felt odd to be out of the shelter of the Woods he had grown so used to, with the shadows that lingered around every corner - here, even in these woods, he felt exposed. He was her ward, and so protection he would give - the svelte brute raised himself to his paws and approached in stealthy silence, drawing up beside the woman of night and glancing briefly to Midar before settling icily on the strangers. 

The reaper would wait for a command before attacking; he stood as still as a statue, with sinister features quickly and efficiently detecting all the information about these wolves he could. Would it come to a fight here, the young man would be only prepared for what was to come. Crimson blood could be spilled, but he would not accept defeat with ease.
