Despite there being discontent between he and Alarian once again over his decision to leave Rusalka, he was honestly glad to be rid of the strangers and back with his family. No other situation would really work for him, as he just couldn't see himself getting along with anyone else. Alarian had decided that today would be one of his avoidance days, so the beast hadn't seen him for some time. It had been like that since they left the sea wolves to be with his family; some days he barely saw him at all, and some days it seemed the other man couldn't stay away. Midar understood he had wanted to stay on the beach and felt bad leaving yet another pack, but he wasn't about to stay there when his family needed him here, and unfortunately that meant that his lover would just have to deal with it. So when he slipped of to wherever to sulk, Midar gave him his space even though that was very much the last thing he wanted to do, and on the days Alarian decided he wanted all of Midar's attention, the beast gladly offered it, taking advantage of that time while he could. He would let the petulance go on for now while the other man got used to things, but eventually he'd need to realize that no amount of sulking would change Midar's mind about staying here--it would only serve to make things more difficult than they needed to be.
He had been exploring their new claim, becoming familiar with the trees and pathways that made up the secure forest. He had so far decided that he liked it here, even more than the other forest they had originally sought to claim. Since rejoining with his family, he couldn't help but dwell on what he had regained of his memory; Damien had helped him better understand what he had seen and start slowly and painfully putting the puzzle together, but he knew there were many more pieces to find, and he was just as afraid as he was desperate to know more. The memory episode hadn't been easy, and it had been a while since that confusing day; so he waited, waking up every morning wondering of his brain would decide to fuck his shit up again today.
Nyx's call pulled his head from the tree he had been sniffing, and he turned to head in the direction from which the sound had come. He moved through the trees until he found the group, surprised to see that his lover was already there. He gave his leader and Aries a dip of his head in greeting before moving to sit next to Alarian--he may have chosen to avoid him today, but Midar couldn't resist being near him. As he got closer, the scarred male moved towards him and pressed against his side. The beast wasn't quite sure the reason for the sudden mood change, but
he wasn't going to question it, especially not right now, so he just took a seat, Alarian doing the same while continuing to stay glued to his side. Midar glanced around briefly before settling his gaze on the caller of this meeting while he waited for the rest to arrive.

Shaking hands with the dark parts of my thoughts
