Hushed Willows Circle of life

the realm between nonexistence and reality was a magical thing. you can see what mortals could not comprehend. feelings never felt before, aromas never smelt before, colors never seen before. it is beautiful. it was surreal. never take it for granted.

the boy certainly hadn’t. he relished in those feelings, those smells, those colors. oh those colors. they were magnificent. they decorated this dark void he called home. the only thing he ever knew.

but that would soon change.

it all happened so suddenly. a pocket of warmth left his side. it was shocking. he didn’t know of it’s presence until it was gone. and then more warmth left him.

and then it was his turn. some unknown force pushed him out of nonexistence and into reality. he cried when those magnificent colors faded. but all was not lost. he may have lost the ability to see what could not be seen, but he had something else now. four souls he would call family one day. aeryn morningside took his place among them and ate for the very first time.
