There was little cause behind Yama’s steps that day; she sought something to do, however, which kept her moving instead of resting. With the absence of her sister came the push to move forward, to figure out how to not only speak for herself, but think for herself as well. It was not an easy task to accomplish, especially for the girl that had looked to the actions and reactions of others for nearly her entire life so far, but she was trying. Yet, in doing so, she’d accidentally ended up distancing herself from everyone else, which had only made things worse. After all, how could she grow and develop if she kept away from anyone and everyone that might push her to do so?
This realisation had yet to be made, of course.
Yama continued along her path, nose occasionally drifting down towards the ground, but her head was always quick to pop right back up so she could see where she was going. She continued like this until she felt her stomach twist with worry, though the origin was unknown. She faltered in her step before stopping altogether, this time lifting her nose up into the air, finding that she was upwind. Frowning, she began to turn, nose still raised, trying to pick up on any—oh, wait.
The second she saw her brother she stopped and her head dropped back down. Her tail moved in short wags, happy to see a sibling but also nervous; Revui was always busy and had chosen to walk a path that she’d yet to even reach, and so she’d spent little time with him. She wasn’t sure how to greet him due to this, whether physically or simply verbally, so she settled for the latter: “Hi.”
