The past several weeks had been complete chaos. After making sure her nephew got safely to the Round Valley, she'd returned to search for her brother and her niece, and for Steph as well. It seemed they'd been well and truly separated, and although Easy was grateful she'd been able to take Valiant somewhere safe and somewhat removed from the earthquakes, she wished she'd been free to follow her family's scents more immediately.

There was nothing for it, now. Their scents were gone, and so Easy returned to the only place she could imagine them returning.

The hulking shewolf reached the borders in late evening and tipped back her head. She gave a general call for leadership but sang Valette's name more insistently, and as an afterthought, added a note on the end asking for Sunny or Steph. Then she stood back and anxiously awaited an audience.
