Witch's Marsh with a mind so dark and skin so white

They'd long-since left and taken any evidence of their existence with them. The only scents within the cuesta were those of strangers and recent passer-bys, none of whom she'd been looking for. The Wilds were different from the way she'd left them. 

It'd been days since her last meal. Bhediya wondered if her misdirection was a result of general delirium, likely caused by malnutrition. Maybe, had she had something more than brewing acid inside of her stomach, she would have been able to find their trails and they would reunite.

There was another wolf in the distance. Bhediya approached apprehensively, giving a short chuff as greeting.
