The figure raised itself, and Clay forced another growl out of his throat as they announced their presence to him. Their voice was smooth, dark in a way that was slightly familiar but bone chilling all the less. It made his body shiver in a way that he hated, and it wasn't until he saw their face that he noticed his heart was beating way too fast... another thing he muddled around in his brain to see if he hated.
"Valour?" he breathed, looking the male up and down. The boy had grown, evened out to a body full of muscle and height that was a stark contrast to his own. Clay, who was whispy and narrow now in his adulthood, stared at the Nightwalker before reluctantly ripping his gaze away to do a quick scan before looking back. "You shouldn't be here," he hissed.
And as the Nightwalker stepped forward to greet him, the Easthollian gulped and stepped back to slowly circle around him at a distance with narrowed eyes. He wanted Valour to see his body. To see how his once untouched fur was now littered with deep seated scars that scattered across his sides and grew more prominent towards hind. He was not 'okay.'
"We're not friends." he said icily. A phrase that forced it's way out of his mouth without much thought. He had liked the boy once, marveled at him with determination and perhaps a little more than friendship. But that was gone. Mostly. Maybe.
