Then her eyes were upon him again as he dismissively shook his head.

"He's angry. He's hurting too. No one likes being trounced by their littermate over something trivial, especially with what it led up to. He probably felt powerless when you intervened, even with your good intentions," he thought aloud. "Let him cool off. He'll either make his way back to us in time or let this be the loose stone that sets him on his way... either way he's an adult and that's his decision."
