Heavy paws adorned with pink pads, carry him across the granulates of sand. It expands onward for miles and miles, so far that Eli can’t see the end before it disappears on the horizon. The alluring way it sinks between his toes when his paw splays out for a better grip. It’s almost therapeutic, he decides. The cooling white sand accents the stark contrast of the blacked rocks, worn with years of harsh waters.

He passes an interesting rock formation, how nature carved the rocks is beyond him. Then his eyes catch on another figure when he appears out from behind a great wall of sedimentary rock. His heterochromatic hues are stuck to the silhouette. Awaiting its reaction, he’s sure they’ve seen him. With his size, it’s unlikely for him to pass by unseen.
