Assuming it was either an intruder or joiner, Kaertok made the obvious decision to butt in on their conversation, coming up alongside Jomyo and casting her a quick glance to ask for her to bring him up to speed on what was going on. Nothing about their body language screamed "conflict!" so Kaertok assumed there was none.
