as dusk breaks the horizon, shattering into a velveteen darkness and splattering the sky with billions of winking stars, priamfaya prowls the beach. the sands are soft, pliable beneath her paws and across the frothing waves that break upon the beach just shy of her paws, she sees the shadow of the mainland. there is a part of her, strongwilled and impatient that desires vengeance here and now. she wants to corral those who would stand with her and see her enemies flee …or die. whichever came first.
the whispers of the past commanders tell her that impatience would only get her killed.
would get her wolves and allies killed.
she’s pledged herself to hua and her wolves …first, she had to prove that she was worth keeping in the pack, that this was not a situation in which she would take and take and never give. so, she patrols; trudging thru cool sand, not sure what else she could patrol living on an island.
it is a new experience for her, but with it brings some sepia colored nostalgia that doesn’t belong to her. she was not the first commander to live seaside and the salty tang of seabrine speaks deeply to whichever commanders' spirits presently stir within her mind.
