He thought about this between her sentences, thinking that while there was no way to know what actual "existence" meant, the only thing they could really be sure of what their version of experience.
He stayed quiet while she spoke, though, curious to hear her voice instead of his own for a change. He frowned and looked at her when she mentioned fighting the current they were talking about might be pointless. When she finished her thought, he licked his lips, looking up toward the trees, and the sky beyond.
